Big Title

Jenny’s work often starts as a charcoal drawing from observation. It is then reconceived several times as paint is applied. Frequently with the painting itself showing the way of its resolution. Along the journey the work moves between paint, colour and further drawing. The latter being more spontaneous manipulating the tension between what is seen and what is unconsciously felt. Her recent work has focused on her immediate domestic environment. Jenny is moving her focus away from drawing to a use of colour and overlay of imagery to create greater complexity. Recently she has used fine art quality prints of previous work as a ground base for overlaying of more spontaneous mark making to create a tapestry like effect.
