I was born in Wagin, and lived on wheat/sheep farms in Arthur River and Kojonup as a child, watching the crops emerge from the soil and grow, lambs and calves being born, and making friends with chickens....my favourite animal. Later I studied Secondary Art Teaching, and then undertook Officer training in the Australian Army at Duntroon, where I broke my back in an accident. This had a great impact on the rest of my life. I worked in Balingup and Mullalyup in a production pottery, and learnt much from a talented artist in this craft. The next 20 years were spent in Commercial Landscaping as plant procurement officer, garden and vertical garden design, and maintenance manager, which furthered my love and understanding of flora and growing plants. I am now self employed, having property in Bali, which adds much to the tapestry of my life.

A lot of time is spent with my cute little grandsons and family. I am enjoying this a great deal.

I am at a time where I am able to create as often as I like, this is a great freedom, and something I feel compelled to do. During the last 6 years or so I have painted and drawn many pieces.

I currently exhibit my art at The Balingup Art Gallery and The Rabbit Hole Galley in Bridgetown.

My art reflects my love for colour, texture, light, lines, plants, trees, water, and things whimsical. I have always drawn and painted. I believe everyone has an artist inside them, their own way of looking at life and transferring it on to a canvas.

My work is a little childlike and naive, both bright and dark, it brings me joy,and a means of meditation to take my mind elsewhere, a distraction from reality. I am always happy, and totally immersed when I am am creating.
